B-day present for 2 yrd old girl?

H and I just got invited last minute to a birthday party on Sunday.  The little girl is turning two.  I have no idea what to get her. Also, I don't have a big budget.

Any advice?

I went to Target and they had one of those life-like baby dolls for something like $15. It was really cute and it was one of the 2-year old's favorite presents... they also had an adorable tea set with princesses on it that she loved. There are always princess dresses and princess shoes too I'd say anything pink and girly is a good bet!

How about a book?

My friends little girl who is two, loves these stuffed animals that are actually words, so like a Lion and it spells out the word. I can't remember for the life of me what they are called.  They are fun but also educational.

Robyn-I can't remember what they are called either but they are at Target.

Isabel got this for her 2nd bday and loved it. Any of the color explosion products are good.

At the 2 year old party I went to in April, the birthday girl got movies, clothes, some toys, and books.

I got her books. I got a couple at Target. The card board kind. Most books will label the reading level.
