I felt very stupid because...
I had no clue that the Celtics were in the finals. I mean, I knew they were playing the Lakers, I knew they won a few and lost a couple. But I thought that this was the semi-finals. DH stayed up last night until the very end (He LOVES the Celtics)
So this AM I said "Oh,honey I am glad that they won since you stayed up that late. Do they know who they are playing next?"
DH looks at my like I am crazy- because on the TV there they are, celebrating their win in the FINALS. The Newscasters said FINALS. The had their CHAMPIONSHIP hats on.
Yep. I felt dumb.

I knew what was going on but basketball isn't my sport. DH and I fell asleep with it on in the background last night.
Today I wore green, totally coincidentally- didn't even think about it. All my coworkers thought I was psyched about the win and asked me how I liked the game. Sorry guys, just wore my green shirt today. Ya've seen it before!

well naw dont feel stupid. I had no idea either until someone mentioned it at my office this week. I was like so this determines who is one of the last 2 teams?
He said no, this determines who wins the whole thing.
I said...oh.
Well apparently he was talking about the "series" or whatever its called in general. Not that game. So when they won that night, I thought the celtics won.
I was surprised to know there was ANOTHER game.
Does anyone normally care about the celtics? I mean i understand when people flip out because of the sox or the patriots...but i never hear anything about the celtics ever...not since larry bird.
In fact, I still associate the celtics WITH larry bird
