Job dust needed!!!!

I applied for this job at the beginning of June and called a week later to check on my application and was told it was being reviewed by the owner. The job description sounded like something I could do and someone similar to my old job and I was excited that it was still in Indy.

About an hour ago I received a phone call out of the blue (well, she saw me on LinkedIn) from an old coworker at my old job (she was laid off a year before I was and we didn't really talk - just to link, etc).

She told me to call her husband. I had met him two years ago at a professional mixer and forgot that he was in the same field. I just had his first name and his numbers, so I reverse looked up and couldn't pull up the company name. I then googled and found what I thought was his current job. It turns out I was right and he is working for the company of this job position!!!! I called him and he was excited to talk to me and thought I had a lot to offer the company and that they could market/expand on what I did with my old job. He said he was going to HR and grabbing my resume and was going to walk it around to the other managers and such.

I was also called about an interview tomorrow AM with IDEM (IN's environmental agency) and I had a phone interview for a position with a STL engineering firm. I still want to hear about the Baton Rouge job too.

YEAH! It looks like things are looking up!

Move along, nothing to see here.....
