What did you end up doing??
Re: How was your weekend?
Saturday we spent a majority of the day scrapbooking which was a lot of fun - we're probably 1/2 way through with the honeymoon at this point
After scrapping we went to the hospital to meet our friend's new born baby. She is absolutely perfect and so squishy and cuddly. I think holding her actually made my uterus explode, lol. And following baby snuggling we met up with friends for dinner and drinks.
Yesterday we had a lazy morning, ran some errands at the mall, then went over to Bubby's house for Yom Kippur dinner #1. We'll be back over to her house tonight to break the fast.
Blogs: Our Growing Family - CT Working Moms

Our weekend began on Friday as we both had the day off.
Friday--The cervical check! It went well, what was so neat was that we saw the babies' vertebrae. Their spines were clear and well-defined. TOTALLY AWESOME! It made our day!
Saturday--we spent the day in the heart of DC with some friends; one a photographer. Even though it was raining, he insisted he get some photos of C. I think they are going to come out nicely. We ended up having dinner out, some really good barbecue! Then we came home and crashed! Oh yeah, C told one of her remaining two brothers who did not know about the pregnancy, that was interesting, but nonetheless he now knows.
Sunday--C's pregnancy was announced at both Services at Church thanks to our best friend (he does the announcements)...it turned out to be really nice, not too many stomach rubs
. I took C out to lunch to one of her favorite places, and was so HAPPY to see her enjoy a meal (which is few and far between). After we got home C took a brief nap and then went maternity clothes shopping...sadly nothing was found. I stayed home and worked on some work stuff I had been putting off. C picked up Panera for us, but she couldn't eat, she has been having these dreadful migraines. We tried to watch some TV, but we both just fell asleep.
That's about it.
Friday we were at the hospital most of the day. L felt okay on the way home (and we had arranged for a friend to pick up the kids from school) so we stopped and had lunch/dinner - alone.
That night we watched stuff on DVR and L fell asleep really early.
Saturday I took the kids to a sport sampler class (they learn to play various sports.) It was a lot of fun and the class had a lot of dad/sons. But I did okay.
Went to Costco to stock up on fruit and then home to play outside. We babysat their best friend for a few hours and then his mom came over and we hung out/ate dinner.
Sunday L wasn't feeling great, so I took the kids for bagels and a quick trip to the grocery store. It was raining so the kids played in the playroom and were horrible listeners. I nearly went insane. After nap, L was feeling better so we went to the mall to pick up Lancome and get burgers. We met friends at the local dairy for the last $.70 cone of the season. Boo.
Was it Columbia mall? My DW was there picking up some Lancome.
Yup. we were there around 5ish. If she saw us, she couldn't have missed us - the boys were um...not the best behaved yesterday.
Friday night we lounged on the couch and watched tv. Delightful.
Saturday we went to the grocery store and Target. I took a long nap and we got a few things done around the house. That evening we came into the city for a stroll in the nice weather and something to eat. It was very nice and relaxing, except for when a parade of about 200 people dressed as zombies (yes, zombies - screaming for brains and all) came charging through the public garden as we were enjoying a nice walk - that was kind of hilarious, actually. Then that night we were awoken at 2:30 AM by all of the smoke alarms in our apartment going off! Thankfully, there was no fire, just a faulty alarm that went off and set off all the others, but it was tough getting back to sleep after that!
On Sunday, we had lunch with my mom, stepdad and brothers. Then we went to my dad's, and told him, my stepmom and sister about the baby. They were SHOCKED to say the least, but also really excited. My stepmom served me my tea in an old mug of hers that said "New Mommy" on it
We hung out there with them for a while and had a nice visit, talking about pregnancy/thebaby and catching up (we hadn't seen them in about a month). Unfortunately, we hit a lot of traffic on the way home, so I basically collapsed into bed, and now here we are on Monday morning...back to work.

I hardly left the house and yet I had a productive weekend.
Friday - we rented movies and I fell asleep on the couch by 11pm.
Saturday - I spent most of the day cleaning out my office closet. I filled a large bag of stuff for the good will and ditched a bunch of old paperwork into the shredder. My office will be the nursery so I'm slowly starting to make room for the baby. After that K and I went to a local furniture warehouse to check out crib styles. We're pretty much on the same page about everything but the changing table so that was good. Then I talked her into dinner out - yummy Mexican!
Sunday - a bunch of house cleaning and grocery shopping. This was followed up by a fun evening of making several different tapas for dinner. It had been awhile since K and I cooked together so it lovely to spend an evening cooking, laughing, and dining together.
Saturday I baby-sat for 3 LOs. 8 month old twins and a 2 year old! I'm soooooo sooooore. It was fun, though
Sunday I did homework and cleaned- nothing too exciting.
So glad it went well! And super cute story about the mug :-)
I ended up feeling sort of blah from the flu shot I got Friday, so I slept a good part of Saturday and didn't get much done. Nice in it's own way, though! Sunday was last day shopping the Farmer's Market, then I joined Holly for an after-party in the local pub. It was fun to visit with our neighbors, and the drunk people were amusing to watch! Heh.
Mrs. F, I love the story about telling your family. So sweet.
Friday: I made my cake deliveries and then J, DD and I drove to Buena Park to meet up with with J's best friend and his wife and another friend who were in town for a wedding. We ended up having lunch a Knott's Berry Farm while waiting for them to drive in from LA. Afterwards we came home and went straight to bed rather than going to the Native American Festival as planned.
Saturday: We went to La Jolla yet again. This time J tried to teach DD how to surf, it was a funny sight and made for great pictures and videos.
Sunday: We stayed home most of the day since I wasn't feeling well (turns out I have a UTI, ugh). Went to visit J's family after dinner then came home and watched a little TV and went to bed.

Saturday morning I went to a family of multiples sale. I got there at 9 am and it was a bit of a frenzy. I got a ton of cute, and mostly brand new, 0-3 mo clothes, books for my doula library (to loan to clients) and some new cloth diapers (but after reading reviews I may sell them). I spent just over $100 and got a certificiate to go early to the sale next spring.
In the afternoon we rental a uhaul and picked up the living room set that friends were giving us (they got a new set given to them by their parents). Since our condo's still on the market we took it to storage. We then got dinner from here and went home to relax. C worked on photo editing and I studied for my huge childbirth ed exam.
Sunday I taught preschool (2-3 yo) Sunday school and my UU church. It was so fun! There were 8 kids and all 4 adults (2 teachers and 2 parent helpers). Our room is small and there was lot going on, but I had a blast and look forward to the next 9 months!
Sunday afternoon we had an open house so I went home and got C and Kai and we went to the dog park and a big friends of the library book sale. C and I had a picnic dinner and got ice cream here before getting groceries and heading home to prepare for the week.
