casual & outdoor dining....
Howdy chicas!
Anyone have any good recommendations on places that have outdoor seating? I know there are places downtown and along the rivers...but anyone have a favorite? Just someplace I can go with DH on a work night, or Saturday early evening...he can have some drinks, some light food and just hang out?
We COULD just go downtown and walk around, but I like to have a plan of attack 
We are in the 'burbs and I know there are some places around here...but hello...we live in Portland, I think it's time we start doing things IN town!!! 
Re: casual & outdoor dining....
Newport Seafood Grill downtown in the Marina is nice, the patio is actually a floating dock off the restaurant. It'snice if you have a boat, you can tie up right there and eat. That's hands down my favorite place to eat outside.
There's also McCormicks at Harborside, they have a nice patio, but it's all in the shade and the waiters there (mostly) suck and are extra snooty.
Another must is Hall Street Grill in Beaverton, off Hall Street and Cedar Hills Blvd. They have a great outdoor patio and they even do happy hour out there! Their patio is pretty fantastic.
Rock Bottom Brewery is downtown on 2nd and Alder-ish, they have sidewalk seatign and it's nice to sit there and people watch. I like their food alot also.
In the Pearl District there are a ton of options, Manzana and Paragon being my favorites, they are about 13th and Glisan-ish, just drive around and you will see all of the patio tables.

I just wanted to say - there is a place you can eat with your dog? How freaking COOL is that! I am totally going to try and get one of my gal pals to go with me this weekend
