Sweet 16 centerpiece ideas??

Hi ladies,
I was wondering if you could give me ideas for a sweet 16 for DIY or not-too expensive centerpieces. It will be in November so maybe I can incorporate fall colors. TIA

I would focus on what the birthday girl likes. What are her favorite colors? What kind of extracurricular activities (i.e. sports, art, etc) does she partake in?

For my sweet 16, quite a while ago!, my mom and I had gotten terracotta flower pots and put a chunk of florist's oasis (the green stuff!) then we stuck in those florist's plastic "picks" that kind of resemble a fork at the top. With that, we stuck tissue papers onto the fork part then glued packages of candy onto the forks/and or the tissue paper. Basically when they were done (and they were simple to make) we had a REALLY cute and colorful "sweet" 16 centerpiece and it was inexpensive! To incorporate fall colors, you could but candies that have fall colors (ie. Reeses Pieces for yellow and orange, M&Ms for yellow and brown etc...)
