Once you froze the pureed stuff, did you reheat the stuff in the microwave? I made some stuff w/ BM, am I screwed?
Also Laura - the Magic Bullet works like a charm - thanks for the rec! It is super easy to use, so fast, so easy to clean, fantastic!!!
Re: baby food makers
Hmm, i've never made my own baby food so i have NO IDEA...
But i do have to say your comment about the magic bullet just made me LOL! I woke up my husband, ha-ha! My mind is TOTALLY in the gutter tonight.
Hmmm, I can barely make adult food so I'm no help, but...
Your siggy pic is so cute!?
ME TOO!!!! I just can't associate the magic bullet with ANYTHING that has to do with food. (Unless said food is a juicy peach, which is my DH's nickname for uhh... yah, NM) LOL
Chrissy-
I am also considering making baby food when I get to that stage... Do you have a recipe book or anything? Or do you just puree whatever food you want? I am curious and haven't looked into it much yet.
I made baby food for both girls, but I never had a big supply of BM so I just added some water to puree.
For those who asked, it is super easy. I would peel, slice, and boil apples, pears, etc, or steam carrots, squash (all kinds), broccoli, etc, throw them in the Magic Bullet, then freeze them in ice cube trays. I'd throw them in a freezer zip lock when they were frozen and just took out what was needed.
And I too had huge issues with the Magic Bullet name....I actually bragged about how great my Silver bullet was and how I use my Silver bullet all the time, how I borrowed it from my in-laws.......:) I still have to carefully think before I speak about the bullet now!
A lot of moms on here have recommended http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/
if you want to make your own food
It's not THAT kind of magic bullet, LOL!
I'm glad that you like it, though, Chrissy! It is also great for frozen Margaritas (not that I would know)
