saying hey and im new!!

Hey I am originially from Gaffney, but I now live in Spartanburg with my hubby and furbabies! We are young and crazy in love and I have already heard the "ya'll are too young, you should wait.. yada yada", so if you're thinking it.. its ok.. but I probably won't listen. hehe..

Anyways- we are still both in college and should be done next year! We are currently in an apartment, but cannot wait to get a house in the next five years!

If anyone else is near this area- I hope we can chat!!

Nicole Weaver

Re: saying hey and im new!!

  • Hi, Welcome to the Nest. Congrats on being "almost" done with school.
I live in the Greenville area (Simpsonville) but I'm on here off and on throughout the day, checking to see what's going on w/ the SC ladies, and on the Nest in general.

What are you studying? What furbabies do you have? We have a 3 yr old Beagle and a 10 month old mutt and boy are they SPOILED!!! LOL

Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!!

  • I am studying early childhood education. Big Smile Everyone says bless your heart.. children seem to be getting worse and worse in school- but hopefully I'll be ok! I love children and love teaching.

We have two mini dacshounds! One is Madison (who is seven and was mine before we started dating) and the other is Manhattan (who is seven months and is -as DH says "MY BABY" lol). Thank goodness Madison fell in love with him and surprisingly didn't bark at him the first time they met. (Weenie dogs have that attitude).. but when we got married, he decided to get him a puppy of his own that would be like Madison is to me, but since he works a lot and I am at home studying more, Manhattan is close to me and pretty much listens to me (unless I am laying down the rules)!! Hehe.. They actually are both spoiled as well! I hope that you have a good day tomorrow too!!

  • Hi, welcome!

I'm fairly new on here two (well, not to blogging but I am to the boards) I am also what some consider too young to marry. (22, been living with Brian since I was 20) So I won't lecture you on that!

I went to USC upstate for early childhood education (although I am not doing it right now... I want to though!) and I live in Piedmont.

We have 4 furbabies. Two of them are dogs and two are cats. Are dogs are our biggest babies. They are both adorable, loving and playfeul pit bulls. They love to snuggle and give a gillion kisses. One is Penelope, she is a little over 1 and Dobby he is roughly 3-4 (we aren't too certain as he was a rescue that was found with a chain in his neck and malnourished) He is an old soul though with an occasional goofy side. Penelope is our little rocket, she's wiggly! Both are gorgeous and are total mommas babies! (but daddy's pals!...jsut liek kids. they like to hang out with daddy but come running to momma when sick, hurt or in trouble...or need to cuddle and be loved on)

and the two cats are doodlebug and daisy. We rescued them and we're trying to find them a forever home since we just took them inthe get them healthy. They love us and cuddle but as always with cats are much more independant.

I love them all...they are like our kids!

anyways...nice meeting you and welcome to the boards!

  • It is nice to meet you too! I actually am at USC Upstate right now! I hopefully will finish in a year.. *crossing fingers*!!! It is one of the hardest programs in the upstate, which is a pretty good thing, because they say when you finish you'll definitely find a job. I hope that you get back into it- we need more people to touch our future America.. I cannot wait to touch children's lives and change them forever! Talk to you around here I hope!!

  • Welcome to the boards!  I would never lecture or judge someone on their personal decision of when and whom to marry!!!  I'm glad you are happy in your marriage :)  We had our first anniversary in March.  (we're 26).

We live in Greenville and love it, we just moved here in October.  We have two cats, Mr. Daisy (13) and Buster (8 months).  I adopted Mr. D when he was 10, and Buster found us one cold evening in January!

Well welcome to the group!  We are planning a get-together for July.  I hope you'll be able to join us!
