Refinish hardwood floors?
Hi! I'm a New England nestie but my mom lives in St. Louis (Glendale area). She needs to refinish her hardwood floors and I'm looking for suggestions or cost estimates. She was quoted $3/sq ft which seemed high to me - we paid a $1/sq ft but maybe that's the going cost in St. Louis. If you could let me know what you paid, who you used or both would be really helpful! Thanks!

I can't remember the per square foot cost, but we had our hardwoods refinished about two years ago, and I called a number of companies. Best deal (and the most highly recommended) was Blake Flooring. They were great: very professional, worked quickly, and the floors turned out beautifully. We did three bedrooms and the family room. I think it cost us somewhere between $1200 and $1600--I can't remember exactly because we did it right as we were moving in, and we were doing a lot of other work at the same time, so I get what we paid for each thing confused!
