I recently moved into a building that still uses radiators to heat the home. Last night was REALLY COLD and we didn't know how to work it. Can anybody help me? How do you turn it on?
Re: Home Radiators
Are they hot water or steam? If they're hot water, they may need to be bled in order to get any air out of the pipes so that the hot water can be run through. They have little keys for turning the screw to let some of the air out. Keep a rag and a little tub with you to catch any drips once all the air comes out.
Can't help you if they're steam though...I don't know anything about them...
I'm not sure what kind they are. I beleive they're hot water because there is one in the living room and there is a large water stain around it.
