Need Nestie Opinions

My best friend is planning some sort of surprise party for my 30th birthday next weekend.  All I know is I had to buy a new dress for it.  I want to get her something to thank her for all her planning and effort, but I'm not sure what.  I thought about making her a cd with a bunch of fun friend songs but that seems kind of cheesy.  Any ideas?

Re: Need Nestie Opinions

  • what about a gift certificate to her favorite salon that she could use towards a massage to "relax from all the planning that went into this".

I like the cd idea though too- personal and fun.

And if you haven't ever checked it out- check out pajamagram.com - they have some cool gifts.

  • I got flowers sent to my work after I planned a shower.  I thought that was very thoughtful.  If the high price of flowers/delivery $40-60 isn't in your budget, you could always hand deliver a plant or flowers to her work and she'd never know they weren't delivered!  (unless she's the receptionist or works in a small office!)
  • Personally, I love giving the Willow Tree Lane figurines as gifts.  You can find them at Hallmark stores, the price range is reasonable and each figurine has a different "meaning" or "saying", so you could find one that fits the occasion for your friend.

Add a hand written note with your thanks, fond memories of each other and I think that would be super special.

  • Everyone has had such great ideas.... another one might be to get her a gift card for her favorite eatery, plan a special girls day with her with mai/pedi's and a movie, or a cookie bouquet!!
