So, it has started and many of the players are smoking cigars. I have no problem w/ cigars but I feel they shouldn't be smoking them. There are many children watching and I don't know that it's appropriate, do you?

i dont have a problem with them doing that.   people still smoke cigars after a baby is born.  well, at least my family does.

even if they werent lit per say the kids would still see the players as "smoking them"  kwim? 

i feel cigars are different that butts because butts are az nasty habit and cigars are more like celebration...  again, at least in my family thats how they are viewed......   i could be totally off kilter with what everyone else thinks though... who knows.

Yup, that's how I feel. Cigars are for celebration but if they were smoking cigarettes, that's gross

agreed - celebration...or special occassion. It doesn't bother me... I think kids pick up actions from their parents more than sports players too.

Eh.. I agree they are generally for celebration.. But I don't think they need to be doing it on the parade.
