Insurance Question...

Is it me, or isn't it stupid that companies have their open enrollment at different times of the year?  My company is making me choose by 10.25 but DH's company isn't getting any information until November.  So, we can pick mine but really have no idea if it is the better deal.

Rant over...

(unless I am missing something...)

Re: Insurance Question...

  • No, you aren't missing anything and yes, it sucks.  It sucks a lot.  Actually, I am dealing with the same thing and I'm pretty sure if HR and my insurance company walked in here right now I'd stick my foot up their asses.

  • I am so sick of insurance! Glad I have it, but there's no Employee + spouse option. There's only an Employee option or a Family option and it triples my weekly payment! When someone has an unemployed spouse, you really can't triple their weekly insurance payment!

  • lmb, that does stink.  I will stop complaining...
  • I thought most companies did open enrollment. DId you talk to HR ab this option? I know they aren't super open about it at my office, but they do offer it.
