DirecTV dropping VS

I'm so mad that DirecTV dropped Versus!  I read about Comcast charging ridiculous amounts for the channel, but how am I supposed to watch my hockey season?  Grrr.

That sucks.  Are they offering it as part of a sports package or anything?  This makes me glad that we switched from DirecTV to Dish.

We have Comcast, and I don't know anything about VS being really expensive.  We have basic cable, and VS is still part of our package.

We have comcast. Vs is part of our lineup and the package is maybe $50 a month? it includes just about everything but hbo/cinemax/etc..

We switched from comcast to directv because it was cheaper.  We are not happy about the Versus situation.  DH is calling directv tomorrow to complain.  We're hoping if enough complaints come in they'll work out the deal.

Blame Comcast. 

They own the channel and they're the ones increasing the price of VS for Directv by 20%. They want Directv to put the channel in their regular lineup, which is more costly than adding it to a sports tier. They're just playing hardball. I'm sure they'll come to an agreement sooner than later. A similar situation happened a year ago with the MLB and Comcast when the MLB network was launching. The dispute was eventually settled and the baseball package and MLB network were added to the lineup. I think we just have to be patient. 

Besides, would you really go back to Comcast? I would avoid it at all costs. Worst.Company.Ever.

We just dropped Direct TV, too for that very reason.  Comcast blows, but we don't have a choice is we want to see all of the Philly games for baseball, hockey and basketball.
