Will be moved into Charleston in 2 weeks!!
We'll be all done moving in 2 weeks. We chose to rent in Summerville for 1 year to get lay of the land and figure out where we'd like to buy. We managed to get to the Green Fair and Pet Expo this weekend which were so fun! Is Charleston always this fun? If so, I am ready!! So anyways, I was wondering where everyone finds out about what's happening in town? Local mags/newspapers/entertainment blogs, etc? Looking forward to making some new friends and wondered where do couples hang out? We are pretty young professional couple and we are clueless about the local scene in Charleston. Any suggestions on cool locals places to hang out at or perhaps go for brunch, etc? Also, we are looking into gyms, anyone have any suggestions in the Summerville area? Thanks!!

Congrats on the move! I don't much about Summerville but Charleston City Paper has a great run down of what's going on in Charleston, restaurant reviews, etc.

I have not played in awhile, but I second Team Trivia! My friend Andrew is the host for the one at the Village Tavern. While that location won't be close to you, there are plenty of places in the Summerville area that have it.
In general I do not know anything about Summerville to be able to offer advice for things in that area.
There seem to be a LOT of people moving here recently. Maybe we should try to plan a Chas area get together?
My husband loves trivia!! How fun!! We're in!! I'll check it out!
I'd also be up for a GTG!! We did that in Vegas a bunch and it was very fun!
Summerville is a great location to live..
Kicken Chicken on Main street has triva nights.
Wild wings north charleston also does trivia, kareoke and live bands depending on the night.
Oscars in summerville is great lowcountry food.
There are all new up and coming resturants and local places and depending on what you like to eat there are tons of places to try.
Gyms there is Pivotal on trolley road, East shore athletic club dorchester road( small but gets the job done), and I think the YMCA in summerville has a pretty good set up.
You will also be in town for the costal carolina fair in ladson during october and there are some great events in the spring/ summer in the historic area of summerville.
Hope that helps!!
