Hello from Georgia! Whew what a week and a half it's been. I just got internet this morning and I couldn't wait to nest! lol The drive was looong but I finally made it. My SIL came with me and I was so glad I didn't have to do it alone. We did whatever we could to make the drive less boring including making every semi we passed honk at us and singing 99 bottles of beer on the wall all the way through.
We made it to Kentucky last Wednesday and picked up my mom at the airport. I could hardly sleep knowing I would see my husband the next day. Graduation started at 9am and after we got to sign out our soldiers for the day but had to bring them back at 8:45pm. I signed out DH and one of his buddies who didn't have any family come. Our first stop was to get DH a mountain dew! We went back to the hotel for a bit so DH could see the puppy and then at lunchtime my mom oh-so-discreetly decided that she, my SIL, and DH's buddy should go out and get lunch and then bring some back for us. hehe Anyways...we went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and mostly just hung out and enjoyed what little time we had together. I totally cried like a baby when I had to being him back. He would be leaving the next morning to head to AIT in Georgia and we didn't know how soon he would get to see me.
Well I drove to Georgia the next morning and got to my new apartment which is beautiful by the way. It's a really nice complex and I feel very safe which is very important since I will be mostly living alone. That night (Friday) DH called and told me I would be able to pick him up the next morning and spend the weekend with him!!! His training didn't start til this week so he got a weekend pass. I was so happy I got to spend a little more time with him! We also found out that as soon as he phases up in a few weeks he will get to come home EVERY weekend! I'm so happy that everything is working out.
Well that is my update in a nutshell..I have a lot to catch up on!
