Mom's!!!! I have a baby related question....
A friend of mine has a 1 year old daughter and she has the worst diaper rash. She's tried all the ointments (desatin and such) and letting her run around naked a little bit, but she's pee'd on her twice, so that wasn't working too well. It's not getting worse, and there are no bumps, but it's really not getting any better or going away. So I told her I'd ask for any recommendations for her!!
Thanks in advance ladies!!!!!
Re: Mom's!!!! I have a baby related question....
get her in the bath with some baking powder. Then let her have some naked time after.
No bumps, huh? Interesting.
what always seems to work for us us baths in aquaphoor and then triple paste butt cream....
but tony and vinny both had yeast infections when they were babies and i used monistat and that worked. (drs told me to get some monistat 5, and stay away from monistat 7)
I haven't done it myself, but recently heard somebody suggest plain old household cornstarch and that makes sense to me that it would work well!
Also - if the rash IS yeasty - Lotrimin AF (jock itch cream) is what I have used (pedi recommended it to me) and it works for that.
either that or the baby is allergic to the diapers.
The rashed sound similar to what my two girls had. I went through everything to try to cure it until i discover the diapers was a no go
