Anyone have a Roomba?

Just curious if you like it? I've been trying to convince Tom to let me get one for quite sometime, because there is so much stinkin' cat hair that goes under the couches, collects in corners, etc, it's hard to keep up with. I'd love to have one of these babies go once a day to keep up with it...

Re: Anyone have a Roomba?

  • I have one.

It is not the best on picking up lots of pet hair.  We have 4 cats and a choc lab.  Maybe with just one pet it would work better (hard to know with my zoo).  But I do have to say, that the roomba does a great job on the crumbs and muddy feet thing.

Sometimes if the pet hair isn't outrageous, I will set the roomba on Max before I leave for work and by the time I get home the floors are all nice and clean.

I think it was a good investment, it has been great for quick touch ups, but I still have to pull out the central vac to get a good deep clean.  I just wish the roomba do a better job on pet hair.

  • The hair drives me nuts too at my house, but I bought one of those cone dust busters....and I just kinda go around the edges of the room every few days with it and suck up the clumps that formed.
