Small baby shower location (New Berlin, Tosa, etc.)

My parents live in New Berlin and we're having a small baby shower (about 20 people) in WI.  Any suggestions for a cute, private room for a smaller shower around New Berlin, Tosa, Milwaukee, etc.  Some family would be coming from Hartford and Grafton, others would be coming from Kenosha and S. Milwaukee so if possible I'd like to accomodate their drives.  TIA!

Re: Small baby shower location (New Berlin, Tosa, etc.)

  • If cost isn't an issue, what about the Whitnall Park Botanical Gardens?  I am pretty sure they have a room you can rent out.

Otherwise, my family recently had a party at the Crystal Ridge Lodge in Franklin.

  • I wouldn't necessarily call it cute, but the Chancery in Tosa has a room that is used a lot for baby showers.  Mine was held there and it was nice.

The other place in Tosa that comes to my mind is Firefly.  It's trendier and has great food but I'm not totally certain if they have a private room or not.

You could also check into how big the rooms are at Maggiano's at Mayfair.

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then success with condoms! Who would ever have guessed.

  • A few years ago my sis had one at a place called Steak House 101 or something like that in New Berlin/West Allis area.

Perhaps someone can help you out with the exact name..it was on Greenfield and then the number following it was the street number I believe. It was a nice room and they had good food. It wasn't steak either---it was lunch time.

  • The only place I've been to not at someone's home were two baby showers at the Venice Club in Brookfield (north of New Berlin). Its more of a banquet hall-style set up, and both were very large showers.

Quite a few restaurants have side rooms that could fit 20 people. Of course I can't think of any specifics right now. Sorry!

  • I would recommend Louise's. It is a local Italian restaurant with 2 locations. One is in Brookfield on Bluemound Rd. and one in Milw. We had a coworker's shower at the Brookfield location and it was a great experience. They have a party room that is private and the bathrooms are just outside the room so you don't have to walk thru the entire restaurant. Also, its pretty easy to get to from the expressway.

(about PP) The Steak 101 restaurant is on Greenfield Ave. and about 72nd in West Allis. I've never been there, but I've heard its good. Parking in that area can be somewhat of a problem.
