Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
A few of the other posts got me thinking about this, and I'm curious what other people's solutions are.
Do you have off-site backups for your personal files? If so, how/where? Do you use a web-based backup service? Keep a second hard drive in another location? Keep one in a secure location (professional storage, safe deposit box, etc)?
Re: S/O: Off-site backups
We have multiple external hard drives, so all of our files are copied onto at least two pieces of hardware, but all of the drives are stored at home (actually, they're all in the same cupboard)!
Once they're edited, our favorite photos get uploaded to the public gallery on my website, so that's something, but it's only the edited versions and not the raw images, and we only do that for a subset of our images.
