Activity ideas - Breakfast w/ Santa

My friend is organizing a Breakfast with Santa for her sons elementary school. They will most likely break even with the admission cost, however, they need to come up with some ideas to bring in more revenue at the event. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks in advance!

Re: Activity ideas - Breakfast w/ Santa

  • could each classroom come up with a themed basket (donations fom students, teacher, etc) and then do raffel where they put their tickets in to a can infront of their favorite basket?   or a bake sale?  can you charge for pictures w/ santa and have someone with a poloroid or mini printer print them?

Charge for pics with santa, do an ornament sale, charge for each kid to have a elf or santa hat (you can get them at the dollar store), they could give you money and in return they get tickets for these things- games?

Make sure you do a flyer to send home with the kids so their parents know to send them to school with money (maybe attach an envelope with options on how to spend their money at the event that the parent can choose)?

  • I'm not exactly sure how this worked, but when I was a kid, we did this same thing - pictures and breakfast with Santa.  I remember that in one corner, it was for kids only.  As in, you would have to pass through a curtain.  Once you were on the other side, you could "shop" for mom and dad.  There were candles, ornaments, ect.   I think that this would be alot of work - you'd have to decide the items, then what the items are worth and how much you could make.  In addition, there was gift wrapping, so that the presents could be placed under the tree.  How close to Christmas is this event???
