Milwaukee ob/gyn with midwives?

Hello!

I just moved to Milwaukee and am looking for a ob/gyn.  I am not pregnant now, but we are planning to be in the next few years. It would like to establish a relationship at a clinic now that I would want to deliver my baby.  I am looking for a clinic with a midwife. I live in Milwaukee, but I would be willing to go to the suburbs for the right clinic.

Any help would be much appreciated- thank you!!

Re: Milwaukee ob/gyn with midwives?

  • I just delivered my baby at West Allis Memorial's Women's Pavilion this past August. The clinic I went to was located in the women's pavilion...it was called Associated OB/GYN, but they just changed their name to something like Aurora OB/GYN or something like that.

Anywho, I saw a midwife at the clinic and she delivered my baby. I absolutely loved her! I have recommended her to friends who are now seeing her and I know several other people who have delivered with her and they all loved her too. Her name is Cheryl Jaeger.....she works with 4 OB's, but I only saw her during my pregnancy and she was fabulous. Everyone in the clinic is really caring too, the girls at the front desk and Cheri's medical assitant Suzy......loved them all!

Let me know if you have any other questions or need the phone #. They do have a website.

  • Thanks so much!  I have heard great things about the pavilion!  Do you happen to have the website? I can't find it.  I assume I would see a physician before pregnancy- do you have any physician recommendations at that office??

     Thank you for the help!!

  • I don't think you need to see an MD before pregnancy. Now that I have delivered I will continue to see the midwife for my yearly exams. I waasn't required to see any of the OB's there before/during my pregnancy. She will give you information on preparing for pregnancy too, so you don't need to be pregnant to make an appoinment with her.

I can't find their new website.....maybe they don't have one yet. But here's a link to her contact information:

The OB's there are Dr. Dolan and Dr. McAvoy (both are men) and the 2 women are Dr. Man and Dr. Mokrohisky - they call her Dr. Becky because her name is hard to say! I only saw Dr. Becky once because the midwife was on vacation. She was nice and very informative - I had a bunch of questions that time. She also was the Dr. on call when I went into labor, so when I paged the clinic at 3 am, she was the one who returned my call. She also saw me the day after I gave birth, because it was Cheri's day off. Other than that, I never saw/met any of the other OB's, but I have heard they are great!

    HTH and good luck!
