I just scored Weezer tickets at the Palladium on the 24th! MH is going to be so stoked, we missed both of their shows this summer.
Has anyone been to the Palladium before? Yay?

It's been YEARS since I have been to the Palladium, but back in the day it was good enough to hold a concert. It was kind of a small venue, Very loud, no seats, balcony view, I don't know if there will be a mosh pit, but stay clear of that area if you are not interested in prancing around.

I saw Franz Ferdinand at the Palladium a few weeks ago. It was hot, sweaty, crowded, and awful on the floor. If you have any ability to go up top, I'd do that.
I was so miserable that I left before the encore.
Have a great time! Hopefully, you don't get stupid Pat singing any songs, although these days he's playing the guitar, and some background non-Weezer dude is playing the drums instead.
Fingers crossed that Rivers sings everything. But don't hold your breath.

I don't know. It seemed pretty crowded up there, too, so I didn't think it was VIP.
But, honestly, I think you'd be fine Y_L -- you don't have the same height issues that marshy and I have.
I was basically in some dude's armpit the whole night, and his B.O. smelled like curry. I felt like gagging, and I couldn't see my cute skinny Euroboys on stage at all.

I've never been to the Palladium. But that probably comes as no surprise.
Yelp tells me one balcony is VIP and the other is a free-for-all. So it looks like you just have to get there early enough to beat everyone else to the balcony.
How fun. We just saw Weezer and Blink 182 a couple weeks ago.

Yay! I would love to see them in concert but H doesn't like them.
I have been to the palladium to see Rise Against and it can get really hot and sweaty. I did have to stand on my tiptoes if a tall person got in front of me but other than that I was able to see everything. I'm not sure on how to get to the balcony, I think you have to have passes. But be prepared to stand all night and wear comfortable shoes.

Call me sick, but it would have been worth the stinky dude armpit experience to see cute skinny Euroboys. I'm sad that you didn't get to see the cute Euroboys.
It's been years since I've been at the Palladium, but I recall it was standing room only. I was in the balcony and the view was much better for me up there since I'm so short.
