Hi there, I am new to this board and was hoping that maybe someone could help me out. Is there a way to wipe a harddrive clean on a computer? I am giving my sister my computer and I just want to make sure that it's not got all my stuff still on it. I don't have anything super private, mostly pictures and my resume (since we mostly just surf on that computer) but would like to make sure it's clean for her.

Just deleting the information doesn't wipe it clean. It only makes the space available for other files to take over. You can reformat the drive or get a program that deletes the information.
