Monday....

How was everyones weekend? Anything exciting? New?

Our weekend went well. Friday night H went to a seafood place and got a bushel and half of oysters, we had some friends over and BIL, and we drank and ate, and rode the 4-wheeler. It was a good time! I got drunk, lol. and I paid on saturday, i had the worst freakin headache. But it was a blast!!!  Saturday was my sisters wedding, which i was dreading, but it actually was really fun. They had an open bar!! wooo hooo!!!! H & I sat at a table with one of my sisters, my cousins and my aunt & uncle. My aunt and Uncle own the venue where the reception was held, uhm hello fun times! We had a blast, i've never seen my aunt & uncle drink, bring on the embaressing stories. It was hilarious, my face hurt from laughing so hard. Sunday we did nothing, lounged around the house, i did a very little bit of cleaning and folded laundry and H literally sat on the couch all day. it was nice!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Re: Monday....

  • Sounds like a fun time!

I was working all weekend, I have a training class of new employees and two of them are 15, which means they are only allowed to work on weekends. So that makes it a bit difficult to arrange. We keep hiring employees with crappy (and limited) availabilities in the hopes that a ton of crappy availabilities will add up to a couple good ones, but it makes training really difficult. But I like the group I have, they are pretty fun and its nice to have a big group again.

Kevin went to the Sabres game on Saturday so I was by myself all evening and I was considering going to the movies by myself, but instead I stayed in. I really want to see that movie "Whip It" with Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore. ?

Also, we got some not good news, apparently my uncle with the?esophageal??cancer is not doing so well, he keeps falling and the doctors think the cancer may have spread to his brain. We are still waiting for updates.?

Oh no ! Thoughts & prayers to your uncle!!!

Have you heard anything about the position that you applied for, or is it to soon?

  • I haven't heard anything at all, but my HR people at my store were out last week, so I am assuming I should hear at least something from them. I am not really holding out for an interview, it was kind of a long shot, but would totally be worth it.?

  • DH finally got home on Friday night after another week away and we just stayed in and enjoyed some time together. Saturday, we went to an all-day wedding.  Had a nice time and TONS of excellent food.  It was the first wedding DH and I had ever attended together as guests and we got pretty sentimental about our own day...still can't believe it was over 7 months ago!

Yesterday, we went upstate a bit to walk over the world's highest and longest pedestrian walkway (walkway.org) for the opening weekend.  DH had inspected this bridge in 2007 in preparation for this project so, it was cool to see it to completion. Pics are up on FB if interested.

Jena - sounds like a fun party weekend!

Meag - Sending thoughts andf prayers for your uncle and family.

  • Our weekend was pretty low-key.

Friday night we ordered Papa John's pizza. One just opened down the hill from us, and I had never had it before. Then we played poker with friends.

Saturday we vegged around the house, watching movies and snugglin. Then we went to the local college hockey game! So much fun!

Sunday= more movie watching and snuggling! we went out and test drove a Toyota Venza, since MIL is wanting to buy one and wanted our opinion on it.

For all the nothingness we did, it sure went by fast!
