Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have a Mac laptop which one do you have?
What do you use it for and is it lacking in anyway for you?

I have last year's model of the 17" MacBook Pro, self-upgraded to 4gb ram. I use it for basic home use - surfing the web, email, etc. I love how thin it is.
The one thing that is really lacking (to me) is really good financial software. There's an older version of Quicken, but I've heard nightmares about it. I run an old copy of Microsoft Money via a VM. Supposedly there's going to be a new version of Quicken for the Mac coming out next year, but they've been saying that for so long that I'll be shocked when it is finally launched.
I have a MacBook with the max ram & memory
I bought it 3 months ago when my 5 years old G4 died.
I really like it for what I do (graphics, full-fledged design and animation, video editing.. etc.). I do wish that I would have been able to afford either a MacBook Pro or a Cinema Screen though, if for nothing else, the larger screen.
The regular MacBook has a rather small screen.

We have a the appleTV, a 20 inch iMac for the desk top and a 13 inch macbook.
We have nothing fancy about on our computers and we use them use them for basic stuff. Internet, email, pictures and music.
My DH and I share his MacBook Pro. He has it for work (he's a self-employed mac consultant) and I get to use it you all the regular things like e-mail, internet. I also use it to manage my recipes and photo's.
The computer isn't lacking anything for me. In fact I don't think I use it enough.
