Squirrels?

Hello ladies:

 anyone deal with pesky squirrels in their roof/gutter? How did you deal?

Also going to google but thought I would ask for local remedies.

What are they doing that you want to stop?  If they are crawling in your gutters, maybe get mesh to put over the top? It will keep out the leaves, too,which makes your life easier cuz you won't need to clean them as often!

Sorry I don't have more advice, we don't have any pesky squirrels.

Thanks Mrs. Kocal. They are in our roof not in the attic but under the roof part that is over just ground (not sure that makes sense). I heard we may have to get a professional trapper and trap them to be released elsewhere.

We had bats in the same area and had to get a professional to come and get them out...and then they came back because we didn't fill the spaces they were getting in.  If you have to hire someone, make sure the fill up all the cracks so they don't just move back in!

Squirrels can be vicious.  It's a strange day when you hear a squirrel growling at you from your own attic.  Yes, this happened at my mom's house.  It took a Have-a-Heart trap, many trips to exile them, and fixing the holes in the eaves where they were entering for it be over.  A squirrel can eat through a 2x4 in minutes, so it any holes or crevices need to be repaired correctly.
