Hello Strangers! Need Advice!

Hey everyone! I use to post here all. the. time. but stopped after all of the drama.

Anywho, glad to see everyone is doing well. I had a question about dog boarding places. I live on the East side of town and am looking for a new place to board my "baby" aka my dog :)

Thanks ladies!

Re: Hello Strangers! Need Advice!

  • Not sure how far east you are, but there are 3 places in Oviedo I use.

Town & Country Vet Clinic, Dr. Lawrence Pultz, on Broadway. He's also my vet. I only use 1 of the other 2 if he's full. He and his staff are awesome.

Shaeffer Animal Hospital on Michell Hammock. They're relatively new, but really good as well.

Mitchell Hammock Veterinary on Alexandria Blvd. They have by far the most awesome pet suites! Their suites have couches and tv's!

If you're interested in any of these, I can get you their contact info.

  • We live on the east side too and use Waterford Lakes vet that is directly across the street from the Harley Davidson on Lake Underhill.  They do a good job and we haven't had any issues, although, we are also looking for a doggy daycare/boarding type place to use as well.
  • I am not sure of anywhere, I just wanted to say Hi!

Actually my mom has used Tuscawilla Oaks Animal Hospital before. She was very comfortable leaving her babies there. That is her vet too.

There is also another boarding place across the street from them. Can't think of the name right now. I dont think I would use them though. There was a story about a little dog that was found at the middle school on Tuscawilla. It was staying at that place. They *claimed* that a hawk got the dog when it was outside. Me thinks the dog got out. Who knows though, it was a really small dog and I guess that could be prey for a hawk. Either way...I wouldn't trust them watching my baby(k9 baby that is)

  • I used to work at East Orlando Animal Hospital www.eoah.com and they are great with all the animals. My neighbor works there still and my friend also. I board my dog there. My neighbor boards and daycares her 2 shelties and all their cats, and my other friend boards her 3 babies there. I know they take great care of the animals there and they get lots of attention. Pricing is decent for the service you get. The 2 owners/2 main doctors of the place have had this place for like 20 years or something.

They can give you pricing over the phone for the length of stay and type of boarding facility you want. It is located on the corner of Lake Underhill and Goldenrod Rd.....(on the Florida Hospital Orlando side of Goldenrod).

    GL!

  • I have a friend who uses University of Doglando, who offers cage-free boarding. I think they're near Oviedo.

I live closer to downtown, so I board mine at my local vets, but one of my friends highly recommends East Orlando Animal Hospital, so they would definitely be a good place to check out.

  • Sorry I can't help you - I've got kitties and I live in Clermont. But welcome back!

I have never boarded my dogs at Tuskawilla Oaks, but I use the vets there and I love them.

You should post more often.  The drama is gone...well, at least she is from this board.  Good to see you around again!
