Heym I just saw that you were on and figured that I would check on how the first few days are going? How is Anna? and how are you and Mike adjusting?
Are you planning on going to any Mommy and Me groups?
Re: **Victoria**
Thanks Mindy!
Things are going well! We brought Zoe home from my mom's yesterday, so that was a challenge... I thought I was going to puke as we introduced them out of pure fear that Zoe would act like a different dog than she ever has haha. It went great though and they've been beyond perfect together. We've been using Zoe's leash and gates to set up boundaries and lots of treats for good behavior! The sleeping has been interesting... she is awake and wanting to eat basically constantly from about 9pm-2am, but then sleeps in 4 hour stretches from 2am-2pm, so as long as I nap during that stretch, the night isn't too bad. Mike has been great at getting up with her if she's fussy after I've fed her, so that helps. She's a champ at breastfeeding- which just took some getting used to for us both. Once I figured out a position that worked for her (and used the pump a little bit), she has done great the past couple days. I swear that she's already growing She doesn't mind the thunder or rain, so that's a plus! Thanks for asking!!!
PS- Can you tell that I've gotten sleep and feel relatively rejuvenated right now?
Well you are way better than me that you are sleeping when she is! I was SO bad at that! Great job training Zoe! One bit of advice that I learned, dont ever yell or get mad at Zoe while holding Anna. A dog trainer in our mommys group said that the dog will associate the anger or frustration to the baby and some resentment might form. Thats great to hear that the breastfeeding is going well, it can be so hard for some in the beginning. I had some very sore nipples during week 3 or 4 but got through it but I am so happy that its going good for you and Anna, it is such a great experience! and that is so great that Mike is being wonderful and helpful, although I am not surprised he was always gloating about you and the baby and he was so excited!
Keep it all up momma! Looks like your a natural at this Get him to take a pic of you two this week!!
