It's a part-time babysitting job and it seems like it would be pretty easy and the mom seems really nice and easygoing. I really need something to fill my time and keep me busy during the week when I can't see DH so this would be great for that. She asked me about pay I told her I wasn't sure about the going rate in the area and that I was flexible. The problem is that what she offered was incredibly low...I would be embarrassed to even post it on here! I wasn't really looking to make a whole lot and she seemed like she could really use the help but it was just so low I almost didn't know what to say! I honestly don't have any other options right now so I guess something is better than nothing right?
Re: so I have an interview
Hmm I would ask on the local nest board to see what mothers pay to have their kids watched.
I guess if you have no other options though, and it's not going to cost you a lot in gas to get there...it may be worth it. Just to fill your time
If you can find out the local going rate though, maybe you could negotiate with her if hers really is too low.
