Who is getting one? If so, do you usually?
I've never had one, and had zero plans to. I'm just wondering if anyone is taking the plunge when they don't normally.
I've never had a full out flu and worry that it would be just my luck that I get it the year I do get the shot...
Re: Flu Shots?
I've only ever gotten the shot like twice, when my work required it.
I do get sick about once or twice a year but never anything serious. So I will pass. Just keep taking my vitemins, eating healthy and getting plenty of rest.
I'm not planning on getting it. I don't think I ever have gotten one. Is it bad that I'm not 100% sure of my health records? I haven't been to a family doctor in like 3 years!

I got 1, one year in college but that was it. I don't like them and don't even think they work. lol
I will not be getting one.

I am getting the regular flu shot...I get one every year through work. Since I'm around really sick old people all the time its probably not a bad idea! Mayo Clinic actually makes their employees sign a waiver if they do not want to receive the vaccine.
As for the H1N1...I'm not really sure. We don't even know if we'll have them available so I guess I'll see when the time comes. But if there are not enough for everyone, I'd pass and let someone who is pregnant or has young childen at home get one before I did.
Until last year, I've never got a flu shot, even though my doctor and allergist always recommend it (I have asthma). I got a flu shot last May because I was traveling to S. America over the summer and it was flu season there.
At the time, I was glad I got the shot... although I have no idea if it prevented anything. When we first arrived at our layover in Panama about half of the people at the airport had masks on and I had the pleasure of watching a lady vomit all over the bathroom floor.
Since the shot lasts for a year, I should be covered... I am worried that this will be the year I get sick.
I'm getting my first one ever tomorrow. I've been thinking about getting a flu shot (not H1N1) and since I'm here at our Corporate office, they're having someone come in to administer them- so it's super easy.
We'll see how it goes!
