I know it's not even Halloween yet...
But we should do a holiday exchange again this year! Last year we sent each other holiday cards, the year before we did a "secret santa" type deal with ornaments. We should discuss this and get it done again! I don't mind helping out at all (and I'm sure Johanna *aphrodite* will help me out, too lol)
Re: I know it's not even Halloween yet...
You know me too well, of course I'll help out. I've been organizing it the last two years, no need to break tradition now. lol
So I say we put it up to a vote. Between.
1. Ornament gift exchange
2. Holiday Card exchange
3. Monetary cap gift exchange
4. or a new one I've read about, white elephant gift exchange (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_elephant_gift_exchange)
The gift exchange would be a secret santa organized by Jenny and I (and anyone else who wants to help) and the holiday card exchange (if chosen) would be to send a holiday card to everyone on the list.
So what do you guys think?

I love the ornament gift exchange idea.
it will be my first!
i liked the ornament exchange the year we did it. Last year we didn't do it because there were a lot of non-Christmas celebrating nesties who felt that an ornament wouldn't be relevant t them. If noone has a problem with an ornament exchange this year (and it could be completely non-secular, too! everyone loves snow flakes regardless of their religion! lol) then I think we should put a cap at the spending- maybe $10?
the cards are a great idea again, that way everyone gets one and it's not too pricey (and people can choose whatever cards they want, whether it's pricey or not) and we just need to compile a list of addresses/holiday celebrated
i think the white elephant is a cute idea, however, i think trying to get everyone together at the holidays is a ilttle tough- especially with a lot of mommies-to-be due around this time. plus, with the gtg and gifts comes spending $$ on bringing food, gas, etc... but i'm just trying to think of ways for everyone to participate without having to worry about extra $$ spending.
ok, that' smy 2 cents!
i'm going to create a clicky poll about this :-D
