North Fork or Montauk hotel?

I'm looking for a hotel recommendation. I know a lot of them are motel-types, and that's fine, I just want something clean and reasonably priced.

I asked a few weeks ago for recommendations in a variety of areas and someone (Mrs.Kocal?) recommended the Apple Valley Inn...sadly it was booked both weekends we wanted to go! :(

Re: North Fork or Montauk hotel?

  • hey CityGirl!  if you don't get any more suggestions here, you might want to try the Long Island board.  It seems like it's pretty dead there but there are a few who at least lurk that will answer a question.

    GL!

(otherwise, I usually use tripadvisor for hotel reviews)

  • Thanks Nova! I didn't even know there was a LI board. I'll check it out. Of course we waited until the last minute so can't find anywhere to go for our anniversary since it's Columbus Day weekend. Nice that places have a 3 night minimum and neither of us have Monday off. Oh well, I don't care WHERE I eat my cake topper, LOL.
  • We have stayed at the Harborfront Inn in Greenport. Loved it! It's on the higher end but they usually run great wine tour specials.
