I'm looking for nursery art/decor as I currently have NADA!
Here's a picture of the bedding (I didn't order the quilt, and there's a few different sheets that match with the bedding including solid color ones). Oh, and the walls are a light tan.
I have a mini obsession with giraffes and those cute little birds that seem to be popping up everywhere now. Not that they need to be included or anything, but just an FYI.
Thanks girls!!
Ready...Set...GO!!!!
Re: Who wants a project??
Why don't you buy some art decals for the walls... if you love the girls, I think it will be nice to put some flower, and the birds...will try to get pics!
I lvoe the bedding is super cute!
check out Barking Bird Art over at Etsy
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5406479
we bought 3 prints from her for Abby's nursery and they're adorable!
i love this one: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=30084454 it's in abby's nursery (along with the tree hugger one and the one where they're walking hand in hand up a hill... all bird ones!)
check out blik, too www.whatisblik.com
they're the removeable wall decals, but it's something different than just the letters. we bought a huge mural type decal that's a bunch of birds sitting on a branch singing "do, re, mi" etc... (btw, abby's nursery is birds, can you tell? lol I used the Peneolope bedding from PBK) but blik has TONS of stuff, from geometric shapes to animals to quirky things. They also partnered up with Threadless.com, so most of the designs are done by people who submit their art (so you get somethign different and not just "off the rack" so to speak)
oh, and urbanoutfitters.com has some really cool bedroom stuff normally- i found these awesome hooks on sale that were galvanized metal painted white with little birds on them.
good luck and have fun doing the nursery! i'mg etting excited to plan sarah's, too!
::runs over to check out all the clicky links::
THANKS a ton! I feel like I've been in overdrive with regards to everything except Carley's room. And then, it finally hit me that I need to start figuring out what I want to get and start ordering so that her room is actually done before she gets here. I'm so scared of committing to art though...I don't know why, but it's always been this big giant thing I stay far, far away from because I'm scared of it not looking right. I need to get on it though!!
Are you going to use the Penelope bedding for Sarah too, or are you doing something totally different? Have you seen PBK's new bedding line??
since abby's still in her crib (and then it turns into a toddler bed by the time she's 2) i'm just going to get Sarah new bedding. I was thinking of the bananafish Lilly bedding, and doing decal on the wall above the crib from blik- the one that is the silhouette of a chandelier! but we'll see... i looked pbk a few months ago and wasn't digging their stuff too much. I love the one you chose, but it looks a lot like the penelope in terms of color scheme and I wanted to do something a little different.
i chose Penelope for the same reason! I didn't want to be limited when it came to colors and i also wanted something that wouldn't be too 'babyish' when she got a little bit older. I also fell in love with the little birds on the quilt, so I had to get it :-D
