Lisa- c25k?
Have you heard of this? I've been seeing it all over the health & fitness board. I was wondering if you have done it, looked at it..i know you are past the 5k stage but just wondering.

Jena, yup, I have finally figured out what C25K is. (Funny side note - when I first started lurking on health&fitness, I thought it was some program to get people ready to run 25K - or roughly 15 miles.) I couldn't believe how many people were doing it, and I felt so far behind. I finally figured out what is is:)
Anyhow, I haven't done the program, but I think it's a great way to get back into running or start running. Personally, I know some of my injuries this summer were likely from running too much without enough of a running/fitness base. I was pretty lazy last winter with the freezing weather and wedding planning. I basically didn't run for 6 months and then started up again in April. Even though I took rest days and I run slow, I probably still built up mileage too fast.
My point to all of this is C25K is a good way to build up to running slowly and hopefully avoid injury because you are building up slowly. If you google it, you may find some slightly different versions. You can pick one, or tailor it to your own specific needs.
