Calling all cat lovers!
Shameless plug here, but it's for charity! I volunteer at a local nonprofit cat shelter (The Scratching Post), as we're holding our annual silent auction this Saturday, Oct. 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Loveland Intermediate School (757 S. Lebanon Road). The auction features lots of items for cats, and cat-themed items for humans, plus gift certificates, jewelry, kitchen gadgets...all kinds of stuff, really. And all the proceeds help keep the lights on and the cat food flowing at our shelter (and it's truly amazing how much food 100+ cats go through in a month!).
So, if you're a cat lover or know someone who is, please spread the word!

I volunteered for a short period of time at The Scratching Post when I was in college! It actually started as a service project for our sorority, then a few of us kept going back.
Just thought I'd share. Small world.
It is a small world! I've been there for 8.5 years, any chance we overlapped service times?
And on the "small world" theme...DH adopted his 2 cats from The Scratching Post. I was a volunteer at the time and I keep thinking I must have seen him at the shelter when he picked out his kitties, but I don't remember him. We met online a year after he adopted his cats.

If I get out of work early enough, I'll definitely try to stop by.
I love The Scratching Post - the vet's office that I work at (County Animal Hospital) sells the cat nip bags for them. And my cats love those bags!
