Friend wants "rustic" wedding - suggestions?
Hi fellow nesties - my best friend just got engaged and is looking for a spot to have a "rustic" wedding - she lives in Simsbury, and was thinking of something like Riverdale Farms - does anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to convince her to join the Knot - I got so much help when I was planning my wedding, but since I'm the MOH and she wants to get married in September 2010 - I think she needs to pick a spot ASAP. Any suggstions? She said she wants something rustic, like a barn they can have decorated / catered.

oooo i home i'm not too late with this!!
we had our wedding at Haight Brown Vineyard in Litchfield...it was totally rustic and casual and amazing. the building is an old converted barn type thing. the caterer they work with now is simply amazing, and it is all very very reasonably priced.
tell her to check it out! the contact there is Tina (she's the vineyard manager who was so inspired by our wedding, she had hers there a few weeks later!)
