Hey ladies!
I am planning a baby shower for my BFF along with her 16 year old daughter. This will be her 5th child and she already has all the baby basics but I want to throw a party to celebrate her and the baby. I need some ideas. Websites you think would be helpful, fave things from your shower or one you have been to, things you would love at your shower. We just started to get some ideas together so anything you ladies can suggest would be great. We need great ideas for everything from invites to decor to food to entertainment(not necessarily games). We don't know if it's a boy or girl just yet. But we want something modern, fresh and fun. Not the old school how many safety pins are in the baby bottle or try to guess which baby food flavor this is. So please help me by giving me your ever awesome Nestie advice and research skills. Thanks chicas!
Re: Baby Shower Planning
One thing she'll need no matter what number kid is.... DIAPERS!!! How about having a diaper cake making contest?
Tell guests that you'll have packs of diapers on hand but that if they can, they should bring their own packs. Stress different sizes and variety of brands. And don't forget cake embellishments like ribbon, boxes of wipes (to put inside) and things like socks or burp cloths to decorate the outside!
Guests can either bring already-made diaper cakes or you can get people into teams and make them at the shower as a game.

How fun Jaime! I recommend this site for modern, chic baby shower ideas:

J and I attended a co-ed shower once and one of the games was drinking beer from a bottle (hilarious)! Whomever got the bottle empty first won!
We also were given modeling clay and asked to create a replica of what we thought the baby might look like. Too funny!
