shipping packages USPS?

ok, so i need to send a shower gift but i want it to be wrapped and pretty inside. last time i went to the post office they said my packaging was wrong and i had to buy thier stuff. Anyone know if i put it in a biggier box, wrap in brown wrap, should i be ok? Or is it better to go right to UPS/Fed ex and have them package it in thier boxes?

Re: shipping packages USPS?

  • did you put it in a box with a lot of words/labels?  they will not mail anything that has too many words, but that does not mean you cannot use your own box.

just wrap your present and then put it inside another box and it should not be a problem.  i have done this many times.  if it is a small gift you can use one of their free priority mail boxes and the present will arrive in 2-3 days.

  • I was going to suggest the same thing as Shari.  One of those flat rate priority boxes.
