UGG Question

I've never before had a pair or even considered a pair.  Here's why: are they waterproof?  Around here, nothing's helpful unless it's waterproof. LOL

And I avoid suede like the devil during winter.  Between salt & snow & ice, it'll get ruined, even if it's been sprayed with protectant.

Yeah the protectant spray does help making them somewhat waterproof but to be honest one of my old pairs has some salt stains on them.

I spray mine each fall with a scotch guard.  I wear them all fall and winter long.  Even into the spring.  In the rain, snow, all kinds of weather.  And I have no water marks on them.  I've had my light tan pair for 5 years and they still look like new and I have worn them so much.

I need a pair of boots similar to this style (the classic short Ugg).  But for $100....hell to the no because I'll ruin them. LOL  Wisconsin is entirely too wintry for me to play that game of Russian Roulette.

We have some pretty bad winters too and so far my Uggs haven't been ruined. But like Kristi I spray them with the protector every year before I wear them.

Paula you could go to Macy's and try the Emu brand. They claim to be just like Uggs but a little cheaper.

I have another pair of really comfy black snow boots from Macy's but can't remember the brand. I bought them before my Uggs and I think they are actually just as soft and warm.

ROFL - doesn't matter how happy my feet are.  My husband's wallet would be INSANELY unhappy with me for spending $140 on a pair of boots that appear all-too-easily ruined. LOL  I've NEVER spent that much on a pair of shoes or boots.

Well you know what a tight wad MH is and I already have 1 pair and just convinced him I need another pair (now I want the grey ones like Jen and Jo! LOL!).
