Re: POLL:Who's entertaining this weekend?

  • Event 1: Neighbors. 8 people. No theme, maybe a "from the garden" ? We're having a nice dinner and welcoming a new neighbor couple into the group........ did I mention that he's a CHEF??? No pressure.... ;)

Event 2: Friends we haven't seen in a bit.. 7-8 people. No theme, just dinner and catching up :)

    What about you??

  • Who's entertaining this weekend? Me!

    Event #1 - Cookbook & Kitchen/houseware swap
How many people are attending? - 15
Any theme involved? - bringing in gently used cookbooks and kitchen/housewares to swap with each other. Leftover items will be donated to the Salvation Army/Goodwill

Event #2 - Teaching homemade pasta class/Pasta Party
How many people are attending? - 7
Any theme involved? - I'll be teaching folks how to make several kinds of pasta without a pasta maker and I'll have a pasta bar with the various kinds of pasta we've made, several kinds of sauces and optional meats/veggies/cheeses to add

  • Not this weekend, but I hosted a dinner last night:

    Pork tenderloin

    Mashed potatoes

Acorn squash with butter and brown sugar

Steamed corn (the only vegetable FIL will eat)

    Blackberry Cranberry Sauce

    Croissants

I was going to make maple glazed chicken for fall, but they all voted for pork tenderloin instead.

It was kind of put together last minute, but I think everything turned out pretty well.
