Hey puboiler mentioned you may have a website for nonprofits that are hiring. I live in KY but trying to find what I want to do in life. I love horses and dogs and kids. Anyway thank you in advance.

Sorry u had a hard time on the pets board its hard to get "in" on any boards I think which I find annoying since its a public place and I think everyone should be welcome on every board.

  • Hey sweety.  (that looks/sounds really funny, but it IS your screenname!)

I'm really only familiar with a non profit job search in Indiana, but you might be able to get some ideas on possible jobs out there and the "keywords" you want to search for in your area.  Here are a few resources:

www.nonprofitcareercenter.org (great site for Indy & Cinci non profits, also has resources on exploring the non profit sector)

www.isae.org is focused more on professional association jobs, but still some non profits are on here

I am also a firm believer in networking.  Volunteer for reputable organizations that work with horses, dogs, and kids.  Attend fundraisers and community events where these organizations are represented.  Find people that have your "dream job" and ask them to lunch and talk about their career track.  By really understanding the environment in which you want to work and by making connections within that environment, your odds of hearing about job openings increases- and then knowing how to work the interview process.  This also helps you to understand places or people in your industry you don't want to work.

Hope this helps and good luck!

    Kelly VM

  • Hate to butt in, but also try opportunityknocks.org  Its a very respectable job search site for just non-profits!

    Good luck!
