Plastic bag recycling

Could anyone point me to a link or a place for recycling plastic bags? I live in AU and I can recycle almost everything at the recycling center EXCEPT for them, and I really don't want to throw them all out. It doesn't even have to be in AU- I am often in Bham as well, and I am close enough to Montgomery that I am willing to drive there too.

I'm pretty sure the Walmart on College has a box by the exit where you can recycle plastic bags. I remember not long ago that I was going to take them but H threw them out. I *think* it's on the grocery side entrance

Most Publix stores have the bins out front, that's where I take mine.

I take mine to Kroger in Opelika b/c that's where I shop. I am pretty sure the Auburn store should have the boxes too. This is kind of random but I saw a box in our church lobby today. We go to AUMC. Not really sure why- maybe they use them for stuff? I was in a hurry to get to my SS class I teach so...

Kind of random but I love Auburn's recycling program. We recycle everything and usually go to the recycling center once a month to take stuff they don't pick up.

It's on Donahue, a few blocks on the left after you go over Glenn. They take some stuff they won't pick up like green and brown glass, magazines, even electronics I think but there may be certain hours for that.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the recycling center here, and that's why I'm so surprised that it doesn't recycle the plastic bags as well- I am pretty much able to recycle just about everything in my house. Hmm. Thanks for all the replies!

Unfortunately, they don't pick up where I'm at, but it doesn't take much time to run a large load down there.
