Pita Jungle
Went there tonight with a friend, and I just love this place!! To me, they do no wrong! We started with this yummy shrimp app, and instead of pita had carrot chips-actually very healthy low-carb approach, the shrimp were amazing in this garlicy tomato sauce. Then had the wood fired salmon salad, luckily will have the rest tomorrow to savor the experience!
I also LOVE their hummus and tabouli! So good!
I've been to: N. Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler and now Mesa, and love it you can order online now...if only they delivered! Ha!

I love Pita Jungle! I went to the Tempe location a lot when I was in college. At the time it was a tiny little hole in the wall, about half of the size of what it is now. Yes, I'm old
. It's so crazy because now there are locations all over the valley.
I especially love the hummus, chicken shawarma, pesto pizza and chicken pasta salad. It's 7:45 in the morning and I could go for some PJ right now...
I was supposed to go to PJ last night with friends, but had a killer headache
Aww...But I would have gotten my usual Chicken Shawarma. It takes me way back. Back home we would have shawarma places at all of the malls with the big hunk of meat on the spit. Awesomeness.
I love their tabouli too! Mmm PJ.
Honestly I wasn't impressed with it. I asked the server what was good, and she was like oh this hummus thing blah blah. I told her I'd never had hummus and she gave me this strange look and kept going on and on the whole time I was there about hummus and how she couldn't believe I'd never had it, like she was disgusted or something. She was really rude.
Anyway, the pita I got wasn't very good either. Maybe it was just a bad day for them, I dunno
Aww, I think you went on a bad day, but then again, hummus and things aren't for everyone. Their salads are pretty good, as well as other things. Which location did you go to? The one in Mesa I was not impressed with for ambiance, but food is still excellent! Top faves are the one in Tempe and Chandler.

Their humus is amazing! I love the Caribbean fruit salad- it's like this giant plate of amazing wonderful fruits. It's my hot summer day survival meal
This is when I went too! Yummy!
I used to always get the Curried Spinach and Potato pizza with chicken. OMG, SO GOOD! But I think they took it off the menu. Sometimes I ask about it and they can still make it.
I love their cilantro jalepeno hummus. I've also had the falafel pita, taboule salad and a bunch of other stuff.
In a side note, there is now a mini PJ in the Fashion Square mall! This was a shocker to me when I went there a few weeks ago. The Gyro was fine, but the hummus was awful! I don't know if it was because it was mass-made, frozen or what, but it was so bad.
