Affordable, creative wedding shower favors
Hi everyone! I was curious if any of you newlyweds (or creative types) had suggestions for affordable, creative wedding shower favors. Any ideas and links to ideas and photos are helpful and appreciated!
Re: Affordable, creative wedding shower favors
As I'm thinking about it, I don't think I've ever gone to a shower where there were favors. The only one I can think of that's close is a couples shower at a country bar and they gave away koozies. I don't think favors are necessary if you're looking to save money.
At my shower, MIL gave everyone a christmas ornament (our wedding was right before Christmas).
I always think edible favors are best. Box up a truffle or two with a nice bow, decorated sugar cookies (have a local baker do this for you and bag them yourself to save on cost, unless you would want to do all of it yourself). Here are some ideas:

I agree with the pp's, favors are not needed, and edible ones are the best.
chocolate covered pretzel rods - made by the bridal party - yummy. they were drizzled with with chocolate that matched the wedding colors (lavendar and green).
I agree about edible favors. I think it's all about cute packaging that can dress up even the most mundane cookies or candies from Costco or the grocery store. I don't think it needs to be a super fancy treat.
Clear bags with a pretty ribbon. Plain white box wrapped in pretty paper.
Good Luck!

My MOH did bookmarks for my shower.
Craft stores now have 40% off coupons every week online and in the papers (most of the stores accept competitors coupons). If you want to do something fancies, like the wine stoppers, consider starting early and trying to use those.
Someone also had a cute idea on the craft post - they made charms for wine glasses. I think the post was about painting wine glasses, and that was one of the responses.
