I had a late start today and now focused on the chocolate chip cookie dough in my fridge. I should probably bake it before I contract e.coli or whatever.

At my university today is considered a deferred holiday. We get an extra paid day off at Thanksgiving.

Is this the same for you SBS?

I have never gotten off for Columbus day ever for school.

 

I'm sitting in the law library, pretending to study labor law but really blogging/nesting...

I'm at work today.  I work for a CPA firm so this is going to be a very busy next couple of days with taxes due the 15th.

I am at work too. I brought oatmeal to eat, but I forgot a mug/bowl and I do not want to use one that is in the staff lounge. So I am starving and waiting for a 4th grade class to come into the library. How's that for exciting?

Unfortunately we dont close for Columbus Day, so Im here today too.. just popping after lunch.  I do have Thursday afternoon off though.

Most of us don't, but this is a military town. Government workers get every holiday known to man.... they even make up holidays just to have a reason to take the day off. With the roads clear of all of them, my drive to work was cake!

I'm working too... we dont get any of the "smaller" holidays here.  At Ford, we got just about everything plus a few made up days (1st day of deer hunting season...) because of the union.  That is one good thing to being attached to a manufacturing plant.

I'm at work. Its a little slow, and I'm NOT in the mood to go to class tonight. We were partying out of town for a friend's wedding all weekend and it would have been FABULOUS to have the day off.

UCLA was open.  Had class all morning.  Traffic still sucked, too.  It takes me an hour to drive 10 miles.
