Help...I'm losing my job! Please read.

Here's the story...I work in Media Production and I love my job.  I was told on Friday that I was pretty much fired.  My bosses are looking for a replacement for my position because they don't think I'm progressing the way I should be.  Once they find a replacement I will have two weeks.  So, for all I know I could've come in today having only two weeks unitl I have to leave here! My bosses say it's not an easy position to fill so I should take my time looking and not jump at the first job I see.  Easy for them to say! I am freaking out because do I have 2 weeks or 2 months before I'm jobless?

To add to my dilemma, my husband and I have one car because I don't have a license.  I got in a car accident last year and it got taken away.  DH and I work together so for work it hasn't been a problem (even though overall it just sucks).  So, when I lose my job how am I going to get to my new job - if I find one?

What I'm getting at is if anyone has any suggestions for me as far as job openings, please let me know.  I'm looking for all suggestions.  If you work out of your house and it's something you'd recommend, please do so.

I live in Palm Beach County and obviously with my driving situation I wouldn't be able to work much further south.  But like I said, all suggesions are welcome!   :)

  • I don't have any suggestions right now, but so sorry to hear about this rough time.  I hope things get better for you!

  • What about a medical biller? -- that's not the actual name, but it's close. I know you have to take a couple classes to be able to do it, but it's definitely one of those WAH jobs. Good luck!!
