Christmas!! I start listening to Christmas music the night before thanksgiving and I put up my tree & decor that day as well. I keep everything up until the weekend after NYE.
I spend the most time with family during this time of year. I love getting together, exchanging gifts, having family dinners, making goodies for family & friends, etc...
2012: Running & Race Accomplishments:
2-12-12: Riverview Winter Fest 4 mile, 34:59 8:45 pace - 23 weeks pregnant
2-29-12: Leap Year 4 mile, 36:45 9:11 pace - 25.5 weeks pregnant
3-11-12: Corktown 5K, 28:33 9:13 pace - 27 weeks pregnant
3-25-12: Rock CF Island Half Marathon, 2:11:03 10:00 pace - 29 weeks pregnant
4-16-12 Boston Marathon, deferring to 2013
8-11-12: Run thru Hell 10 mile or 4.8 mile
9-30-12: Brooksie Way Half Marathon
10-21-12: Grand Rapids Marathon
11-22-12: Detroit Turkey Trot 10K
This is funny to me because it's my mom's birthday and she HATES St. Patrick's day because of it. Must have been one too many green cakes.
My favorite Holiday is Halloween. I love the whole aspect of being a kid again, using your imagination, and everything that entails. I love the costumes and the decorations.
Blu, does your dog enjoy dressing up as much as you do? hee hee. That's a cute costume!

So excited to meet Amelia Catherine!
Christmas because I love the serene relaxing glow of just a Christmas tree while listening to holiday music sipping eggnog or hot chocolate, cuddling on the couch with my husband watchin the snow fall (if it's snowing).
I also like Memorial Day because it means summer is on it's way!
4th of July is nice too because it's a fun day to grill out with friends.
Thanksgiving because
1. It's the first long break we have off from school (I'm a teacher)
2. Spending time with family
3. Eating great food
4. Decorating for Christmas
5. Relaxing before the craziness of the winter holidays begins.

Halloween. I just love fall colors and pumpkins and kid and fur kids in costumes and that bite in the air.
The overcrowded bars can be really annoying. I think it depends on how you celebrate though because my friends and family don't really go crazy with all of the green stuff.
Christmas is a close second though.

Christmas/Thanksgiving - a tie! Although I have to say - if this year is anywhere near as stressful as last year was with houseguests for a MONTH, I will pull my hair out and check myself into an insane assylum! lol

He does not love it as much as I do - but he's a pretty good sport about it.

I love Halloween and Thanksgiving because of the fall season. I love the weather, the scents, and the colors of fall.
Ever since I've had children, Christmas has become another one of my favorites. I love to see DD happy and excited. I also love spending time with family and friends that I don't see often throughout the year.?

I just love the feeling around that holiday. Family. Fun. Get-Togethers. Joy. Snow. Christmas Carols. Spirit of Giving. All that sappy stuff!

I love Christmas because it reminds me so much of my childhood and Halloween because of all the scary movies! lol
