What is it? It's eating all my collards!!! It blends in so I didn't see them at first. There's also some tiny caterpillar-ish things that look black and white. EWWW!
Is there anything non-chemical I can do so the food is still edible? Vinegar and water or something? If not, what kind of chemical do I need?
Re: Green worm on collards
Cabbage looper or Cabbage worm.
You can just pick 'em off if you're feeling brave enough. Otherwise you can use Bt to spray them. Insecticidal soap may work as well.
Also, make sure you keep up on harvesting. I find that my plants tend to do better and are infected less if I harvest the leaves quickly.
