Re: opinions-buying some boots....
Hi Alix,
I'm really liking the 3rd one. It seems the sexiest to me
I like that it's higher and it's really slim at the calm, which I think suits you really well.
My second fav is #4, then #1 and then #2.

#4. I like that you can fold them down.
#1 would be my second choice.
Sexy, sexy Alix! I chose these because they seem the most "timeless" and you can wear them this season and beyond!

I like #2. This is solely because it's the only pair that isn't suede, which is a material that often doesn't age well (for example, if you wear jeans over the boots, it can rub and leave a shiny spot on the suede, and they can have issues with water - and personally, if I'm going to splash out on a great pair of boots, I want those suckers to last). I also just prefer the look of regular leather to suede in general - it's more classic and more versatile with outfits.
That said, for style alone, I like both #2 and #4 (cute buttons!). I agree that you probably wouldn't get as much use out of the thigh highs, and I'm just not crazy about #1.

I love the style of #4, but agree with redshoegirl's caution about suede in general.
p.s. You and I live in different shoe universes. I wonder if it would be different if I lived in SoCal or NY? But I'm a Seattle girl, which means my most expensive pair of shoes costs less than $100.
